Clockwork Orange (1971)

"What is everyone talking about?"
"Was Kubrick On Crack?"
How come they talk so funny?

Does this film take place in the future? (i mean the future for the people of the time when the film was made)

Set in the future is it?

Anybody else get a few chuckles from this movie?

Is it a reasonable response? Is it over the top?

Why does Alex's mother have purple hair?

What is meant by "a clockwork orange"?
If it's nor Cockney, what the hell is it?

why did Roger Ebert give this film a bad review?

Did we watch the same movie?"

Does he really want us to identify with the antisocial tilt of Alex's psychopathic little life?

get my point?

is there anybody else in this ward with you?

"Is this some sort of sequel to 2001?"
Alex is living in a society we don't really see (in the movie at least). So how can we judge "society values?"

What am I supposed to feel?

Is it to show how bad we are as people?

Should I be more disturbed by the violence?

Did Anybody else find parts of this Movie Hilarious?

a guilty person, perhaps even someone guilty of a horrible crime?

Is Alex a villain?

do we really care about what happens in the end?

Was the above review usefull to you?

Do you get it now?

Let's move on, shall we?

Jaws (1975)

"Sharks aren't frightening if you have enough sense to stay out of the water"
"a silly, made-for-kids adventure"
I haven't seen the whole movie in a long time, but from what I remeber it's boring.

just a shark moving around, and killing people

However, there was only four shark attacks

only 4 actual shark attacks over the course of the film

I never felt particularly connected to any of those characters

There was no struggle between the victim and the shark and hence the intensity of excitement was very low.

Lots of talky dialogue

the unlikable and stupid three-man crew does all the wrong things.

I wanted Jaws to eat them all

A real shark wouldn't do the things that mechanical shark did

I was 6 when I first saw this

'Jaws' did a great job in terrifying people

it traumatized an entire generation

no one I knew would go out to the deep water anymore after seeing it.

we were all afraid to go into the water

on many vacations to Mexico and Hawaii, as well as to Australia, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, etc., I didn't go in water past my knees.
