"Is this movie based on a book?"
This film is
perhaps a good movie
This was like
watching a very prolonged game of dungeons and dragons.
a 3 hour
Sinbad-Hercules-Xena Warrior Princess sword & sorcery adventure
Some of the fight
scenes are good in places
There are
now only two movies that made me sleep in the theater. They are "Wag
the Dog" and "Lord of the Rings."
BORING with a
capital B!
The hobbits are
dumb and small, the wizards are not magic.
As for the
rest of the cast, a good bath wouldn't hurt them.
You´re all
victims of a great advertising-campaign.
I have to
give this 1 out of 10 just to counter-act all the perfect scores that
the geeks have awarded it.
I beg of you
people on this site to vote 1/10
Am I the only
person in the world?
I can not put
into words the hatred I have for this movie. The hatred comes
from the depth of my soul. I HATED it!!!!!! The first half
hour was pretty cool.
This
movie has a very disappointing ending.
this movie
has no ending!
people said
it is a trilogy and has three parts
in the long term,
it will be another Willow.
It is
impossible for me to tell you how

The Elephant Man (1980)
"To see a man, who has a troubled life"
If you're looking for sad drama about a freak, and doctor who tries to make him act like a human being and socialize him, then this is a movie made for you.
The difficult life of a man who was mocked by all and sundry solely due to an inexplicable deformity of his face.
Grotesque vision of 19th century England as an era of absolute inhumanity.
The dark cold streets of the 1880's East End, streets filled with the unfortunate, the dirty, the poor...
Hideous old times which were truly horrible in which a human being had no qualms about making mockery of another human being... It was a tough time for mankind.
If Merrick wasn't in his room, which was specifically made for him, he never had it easy.
He didn't look like an elephant but his head looked more like fresh ginger
And that's probably what Lynch tried to accomplish.
The elephant man has always been a marvelous character to comprehend.
The high society of ancient times wanted to be in the company of "The Elephant Man"
I would expect more people to find this movie a bit boring and not entertaining... I am sure that pretty much nobody finds this movie entertaining and enjoyable.
It is fair that this film will be tragic because it is explaining the life of a tragic individual.
Apparently, plastic surgery was far in the future when Treves practised medicine.
Moralising narratives are at the heart of many
Call me shallow if you will, but I don't look to Hollywood to teach me the meaning of life or reinforce my moral values.
I stare at people with abnormalities even though I know it is wrong of me to do so.

Planet of the Apes (1968)
"roam free, roam naked"
Yoke who falls into a time zone and comes out nude and cursing
"Get your stinkin' paws off me you damn dirty ape!"
shouting all the time
Astronauts land on a planet where apes are in charge
Charlton Heston's pants come down a few times
The world is being invaded by apes, but this movies portrays the invasion so poorly that it's hard to know Earth is being invaded.
'Planet of the Apes' just kind of ends at one point, nothing really happens... "You Maniacs! You blew it up!" ...and you wonder, what happened
There were a bunch of seqeuls... and then there was a remake
the first time I ever remember feeling depressed.
Simply awful! It doesn't deserve even one star! 5/10 |

Clockwork Orange (1971)
"What is everyone talking about?"
How come they talk so funny?
Does this film take place in the future? (i mean the future for the people of the time when the film was made)
Set in the future is it?
Anybody else get a few chuckles from this movie?
Is it a reasonable response? Is it over the top?
Why does Alex's mother have purple hair?
What is meant by "a clockwork orange"?
If it's nor Cockney, what the hell is it?
why did Roger Ebert give this film a bad review?
Did we watch the same movie?"
Does he really want us to identify with the antisocial tilt of Alex's psychopathic little life?
get my point?
is there anybody else in this ward with you?
Alex is living in a society we don't really see (in the movie at least). So how can we judge "society values?"
What am I supposed to feel?
Is it to show how bad we are as people?
Should I be more disturbed by the violence?
Did Anybody else find parts of this Movie Hilarious?
a guilty person, perhaps even someone guilty of a horrible crime?
Is Alex a villain?
do we really care about what happens in the end?
Was the above review usefull to you?
Do you get it now?
Let's move on, shall we?
